About the Presenter

Michael is a strong advocate for children and young people who face barriers to learning. Michael has spent most of his career in special schools and was a head teacher for almost 20 years. He has experience of working with learners covering the full continuum of need including autism, profound and complex disabilities, and social and emotional difficulties.

Michael’s greatest successes have been linked to enabling children and young people to learn alongside their peers in mainstream schools.
