About the Presenter

Nathan Atkinson is the Headteacher of Richmond Hill Primary School in Leeds, a 3 form entry school serving a diverse community with very high levels of deprivation. Nathan has appeared on various news channels to air his innovations and achievements in one of the country’s toughest neighbourhoods. Last winter he made the news for keeping the school open to feed the local community during the holidays.

As a Headteacher Nathan has a proven track record of leading schools in challenging circumstances (Special Measures and Requires Improvement) to Good Ofsted grades. Nathan is passionate about community partnership and has engaged with this audience in a variety of innovative ways to improve outcomes for young people and their families.

Nathan Atkinson is known from his regular TV appearances for the innovative work he has done throughout his headship of three schools. Awarded a ‘top 50 teacher in the world’ status, Nathan leads the Inclusion Expert team’s development of QFT.
