About the Presenter

Helen has a wide range of experience working with children and young people with emotional, social and behavioural difficulties. One of Helen’s particular areas of expertise is Attachment Difficulties and supporting the needs of Looked After and Adopted Children within education, mitigating the impact of neglect, trauma and loss on their learning.

In addition to offering direct support to children and young people via a range of interventions including Theraplay, Protective Behaviours and Drawing and Talking, Helen is skilled at helping their network of adults – parents, teachers, social workers and others – support and empower them.
